This is an inspired renovation of a traditional tenement in Glasgow’s West End.
The owners converted one of the brighter front rooms into the kitchen, a bold statement as usually the kitchen is at the back of these Victorian buildings, but in this instance, it was obviously the right thing to do: to live in the elegant front rooms of this beautiful apartment; while, the bedrooms are ideal at the quieter side of the house.
The slick, expensive looking island unit is actually topped with a grey lino, a natural, but very practical material. A very ‘now’ solution, I feel!
A beautiful, contemporary headboard.
Discreet, but useful storage, lines the master bedroom.
The owners are have their own design company, with a workshop, studio and showroom in Glasgow’s Merchant City.
