Lyon & Turnbull

The atmospheric auction rooms in Edinburgh’s Bellevue area has started a new slot: a regular interiors sale.
Sensing that we are all a little tired of Ikea, they have invited you to come and snoop around their inevitably much more unique and original room sets…Think of the effect just one or two choice pieces could have on your home: I am not sure a Mammoth’s head is quite the elegant twist I am looking for, but the red mirrors are fab!
A shabby chic dresser?
A sturdy but fun football table?
So much here that could give you a much needed vintage quirk…Lots of lovely paintings and prints too. They are intending to have 4 a year.
Quite interesting to see what everything sold for this weekend at Lyon & Turnbull, Interiors sale
My favourite chair ever, above, went for £900, the pair of red mirrors pictured at the top went for £650…

Hi Alison, I love the vintage and individual feel of those pieces. I like the oxblood colored armchair in the picture taken from above. It’s one of my favorite colors at the moment.
Haven’t had the chance to catch up and say thanks for you xmas card. Hope you don’t think I’m rude. It was a plesant surprise in my mail
Hope your New Year started great. Hugs, Jasmin

Alison- what a lovely piece and the photographs are fantastic. I love the fact that the young
team at L&T really wanted to come up with an event that would show what auctioneering is all about.
The Interiors sale went really well and there were lots of new faces so I think it worked !
