Trade fairs

On my bucket list is most definitely ‘Maison et Objet’ in Paris, the twice yearly, massive, interior design, trade exhibition in Paris. Please let me know if you would like to chummy me one day? I always do go to the very enjoyable equivalent in Scotland at the Dunblane Hydro, a lovely day out of fabric, furniture, lunch and chat…

A happy compromise might be to visit one of the many Interior Design shows at the NEC in Birmingham sometime. The January Furniture Show is on 24th-27th January 2016. Everyone is talking about Birmingham at the moment, the new High Speed Rail link and the recently renovated Grand Central Station has brought a lot of hype, amongst shopaholics and food lovers alike, as it contains a lot of great shops and nice eateries.

Staying walking distance to the city centre is important and serviced apartments in Birmingham such as Comfortzone give you exactly what you need on a busy trip: peace, privacy, comfort and security. Enough space to spread out and do some work if you need to, or, to socialise if you are getting together with friends.

Hotel rooms can be so tight, having a whole apartment to yourself is much more relaxing and luxurious. You can eat out or stay in, get a carry out, or cook something simple and really put your feet up. Breakfast at 11am? No problem!

Love the idea of being on holiday but being able to ‘have friends round’ who I don’t necessarily see that often. I have rented an apartment in London and loved having visitors rather than ‘being the visitor’ as I usually am when I am there!
